In the second chapter of The Brain and Combat: Brain Science in Grappling Competitions, we’ll learn that confidence is a ‘proof of doing’ and should not be mistaken with positive self-talk or arrogance. We get to know the multi-layered system of the brain and how it operates during the process of building and manifesting confidence and what are the blockers of that process. We’ll also get closer to understanding the impact of the different mental conditions on tournament performance and where and how to mediate to reach improvement.
