Engages with creative, divers content

The course provides a mix of educational readings with rich illustrations and quizzes, as well as scenario-based interactive practices in graphic novel format. Explanatory infographics, visual and written guidance, introduction and summary videos, and interactive quizzes help to engrain the new skills offered by the course.

Specifically tailored

Walk into conflict (physical or verbal) as a part of their carrier

For them, physical conflict—or the responsibility of de-escalating it—is the highest-risk and highest-pressure situation, requires a strong grasp of human dynamics.

Run their own business and/or leading teams

entrepreneurs, sole traders, start up and club owners, business leaders etc.

For them, cutting through the noise, balancing constantly conflicting interests, and distinguishing partners from predators is what makes—or breaks—their business.

Stick out as natural high-performers

talents, award-winners, A-players, lead members etc.

For them, managing the flood of comments on being different, and criticism from mediocres—while keeping haters in perspective—defines how far they go.

Course structure

The modules.

Week 1
( taught module )

Everyday social dynamics-stereotypes and the idea of normalcy

In this module, we zoom in on power dynamics in a smaller scale of things. You’ll explore the nature of stereotyping, a common social grouping tendency, and how it affects the way others treat you. You’ll also gain insight into the impact of being different from your cultural context and challenge outdated ideas about what ‘normal’ really means.

Week 2
( taught module )

Grand social dynamics-prejudice and the big X sensitive topics

This module introduces the core power operators on the grand scale of things and their role in challenging experiences. You’ll explore the foundations of prejudice and gain awareness of the most common form of social devaluation—and the back-and-forth game it creates between the parties. The module also covers the key rules for navigating sensitive topics and strategies for demonstrating social sensitivity effectively.

Week 3
( taught module )

The human boundary system- 4 levels of intrusion and defence

This module introduces the Intrusion-Defence Boundary Model™, a four-layer individual defence framework designed to help you navigate the push and pull of everyday interactions and high-stakes negotiations. The module provides a crucial understanding of how we cross and defend boundaries in social exchanges, revealing how consistently ending up at a deficit in these situations is the main cause of burnout and financial breakdown.

Week 4
( taught module )

Navigating the human boundary system strategically

In this module, we deepen your understanding of the Intrusion-Defence Boundary Model by exploring potential responses to boundary intrusions and their consequences. You’ll also learn to experiment with moving between different levels, tailoring your responses to result you want to achieve.

Week 5
( practice module )

Basic decoding practice – life scenarios of boundary push and pull

This module offers simple scenario-based drills to help you decode power imbalances and boundary intrusions. Using a graphic novel format, also known as a serious comic book, it translates verbal conversations into their non-verbal counterparts, helping you pick up on subtle clues and alerts.

Week 6
( practice module )

Advanced decoding practice – life scenarios with subtle boundary intrusions

This module builds on the previous one by presenting life scenarios where the push and pull of the boundaries are subtle, and conflicts of interest are less obvious. Using the same graphic novel format for the drills as the previous module, it helps to refine your skills and sharpen your awareness of where a situation is heading.

Week 7
( practice module )

Basic boundary defence practice – understanding response types

In this module, we begin practicing strategic defence responses by applying the skills developed in earlier modules. You’ll experiment with the response types introduced to achieve the result you want. Keeping the graphic novel format, the module allows you to practice fundamental strategies for keeping your boundaries intact across a variety of real-life scenarios.

Week 8
( practice module )

Advanced boundary defence practice – navigating sensitive contexts

Building on previous practices, this module examines subtle dynamics where defences must be applied carefully due to politically or culturally sensitive contexts. It helps you understand the nuances of power games and explore the versatility of the response strategies introduced earlier.

Week 9
( practice module )

Practicing for longer exchanges with limited cues

In this final practice module, we focus on prolonged and complex interactions that unfold across multiple touchpoints and contexts. You’ll practice reading from minimal cues, silences, and other subtle social signals—building an extended awareness of social dynamics.

Week 10
( quiz module )

Summary of key learnings and takeaways

This recap module offers a playful and engaging way to revisit the key concepts through quizzes and tests. It helps to solidify the social skills developed throughout the course. The interactive format also supports you retain knowledge longer,  apply your skills confidently, and ensure you’re fully prepared to use them in real-life situations.

Theoretical background

The foundational ideas of change.

01. Framework
Self-governance
and ethics.

Building on William James’s work (1902), which continues to inspire modern life-long learning approaches, our framework sees personal change as a matter of reorienting how we experience, think, and act—rather than measuring ourselves against outside standards.

03. Framework
Social exchange
theory.

Acknowledging that human encounters involve the exchange of power, emotions, or other forms of human resources, we se social life as a flow of interpersonal interactions in which power and influence exercised (Cook et al., 2013).

02. Framework
Power Treat
Meaning.

We look at obstacles and dissatisfaction in life through the lens of power imbalance—cultural or family structures, and other core power operators of society discussed in the Power Treat Meaning Framework (Johnstone et al., 2018).

What is main goal of the course?

The main goal of this social skill training program is to give professionals in high-pressure fields the essential skills to navigate social dynamics—something rarely taught in formal education but closely tied to success in life, including both business and personal realms.

Step by step, you’ll learn to understand, recognise, reshape, and engrave new skill to handling interactions. These skills include awareness of latent intentions—the game behind the words—applying defence strategies, and using responses to navigate crucial social situations strategically.

Are the modules sequential, or can I complete them in any order?

The modules are structured to build on one another, following principles of information processing to establish and engrain new skills. The process starts with discovery of the relevant topics, followed by light practice to activate explicit learning, and then gradually increases in complexity to engage implicit learning mechanisms. For this reason, the modules needs to be completed in sequence to ensure proper skill development.

Are there real-life examples or simulations?

Yes, all the scenarios in the course come from real experiences of early participants in a variety of settings, so they’re practical, relatable, and meaningful.

How soon will I see progress?

By the final stages of the course, you’ll likely be naturally applying the awareness situation-analysis skill you’ve been practicing. Most scenarios up to medium complexity, you’ll be naturally navigate after completing the course with the new skills gained. For the extra high stake situations, you might need to use some of the takeaway materials for the first few more months to fully solidify your boundaries and responses in those contexts.

Can I interact with instructors or other participants?

Due to the sensitive nature of the topics, the course is fully self-guided with no planned interaction between instructors and peers to eliminate any potential judgement and encourage free experimentation with the course materials.

There is, however, an option to request an onboarding call and/or an offboarding call with one of the instructors if you would like to make sure you make the best use of the content or have questions about the training process.

Can I access course materials after the 10 weeks?

Yes, the course material is available via your account for 12 months after the purchase made, so you’ll have the option to revisit the content for a sufficiently long time after completion.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, the course comes with a 14-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Simply contact us if you’d like a refund and wish to close your course access.

To help us improve, we may optionally ask if you’d like to share some feedback about your experience—but this is entirely voluntary.

What if I have further questions or need more support?
